Abstract

Rabam Naray Chet Pang Dance is a qualitative research. The objectives are 1) to study the history of the Rabam Naray Chet Pang Dance, 2) to analyze the form and components of the Rabam Naray Chet Pang Dance to be applied in the performance. The research results found that the Rabam Naray Chet Pang Dance is adapted from the ancient drama, Krung Phan Chom Tawi, Avatar chapter, composed by His Royal Highness Prince Narisara Nuvadtivongs. It talks about Phra Narai incarnating to conquer Krung Phan, causing the angels and goddesses to praise him. The content of the different postures is arranged in the same order as the text of the Lilit Narai Sip Pang. There is evidence of a total of 3 performances: the first in 1988 and the second in 1995 by the Amateur Drama Troupe of Ban Plai Noen during Naris Day. The performance was called: Naray Pead pang dance, and the third time appeared in the opening performance by the Khon Foundation for the Support of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques, series: Battle of Indrajit, episode: Nagabas, 2014. The researcher sees the value and benefit of the performance of the Rabam Naray Chet Pang Dance that appeared in the opening performance by the Khon Foundation for the Support of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques, series: Battle of Indrajit, episode: Nagabas, which will lead to the conservation, restoration, and development of Thai dance performances by studying the origins, dance movements, performance styles, costumes, and make-up.
