Abstract

The pursuit of knowledge in Buddhist philosophy is an important process in studying the core teachings of Buddhism, focusing on both theoretical understanding and practical application. The pursuit of knowledge in Buddhist philosophy helps individuals gain insight into the teachings of the Buddha, such as the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path, and the mental training methods to develop peace and wisdom that lead to liberation from suffering. Therefore, the pursuit of knowledge in Buddhist philosophy is not only about theoretical learning but also emphasizes the practical application of these teachings in daily life. This involves training the mind and developing the ability to live in accordance with the ethical principles of the Buddha's teachings, fostering inner peace and tranquility. In the process of seeking knowledge in Buddhist philosophy, individuals will be trained in various aspects such as mindfulness development and the ability to perceive the reality of life’s natural conditions. This process helps individuals understand the root causes of suffering and the ways to overcome them. Correct practice will lead practitioners to a profound understanding of life and all phenomena, enabling them to cultivate a mind that can live with mindfulness and tranquility in any situation. Thus, the pursuit of knowledge in Buddhist philosophy is a process that creates a balance between theory and practice. The study of this field not only provides individuals with academic knowledge but also brings about real-life transformations. These include the development of the mind, self-understanding, understanding others, and fostering peace within society. By practicing according to the Buddha's teachings, individuals can free themselves from suffering and live a life in accordance with the path of practice that the Buddha taught.
