A Study of Factors Affecting Tourism in Sahatsakhan District Kalasin Province

Abstract

This research consists purposes were This study aimed to examine the level of factors affecting tourism in Sahatsakhan District, Kalasin Province. The research employed a quantitative research design. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 100 residents living in Sahatsakhan District, Kalasin Province, selected using purposive sampling. The data collected from the questionnaires were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results of the study revealed that The results indicated that the overall level of factors affecting tourism in Sahatsakhan District, Kalasin Province was at a high level (x̅ = 4.09, S.D. = 0.68). When considering each aspect and ranking them from the highest to the lowest mean scores, the findings revealed that (1) local residents demonstrated friendliness and warmly welcomed tourists (x̅ = 4.41, S.D. = 0.58) (2) tourist attractions were aesthetically appealing and attractive to visitors (x̅ = 4.35, S.D. = 0.61) (3) tourist destinations were safe for visitors (x̅ = 4.24, S.D. = 0.62) (4) tourist sites were clean and well-maintained in terms of environmental management (x̅ = 4.18, S.D. = 0.64) (5) accessibility to tourist attractions was convenient (x̅ = 4.12, S.D. = 0.68) (6) there were interesting tourism or cultural activities available (x̅ = 4.05, S.D. = 0.70) (7) clear directional signs and tourism information were provided (x̅ = 3.98, S.D. = 0.72); (8) the prices of goods and services were reasonable (x̅ = 3.92, S.D. = 0.73) (9) facilities such as restrooms and parking areas were sufficient (x̅ = 3.87, S.D. = 0.75) and (10) the attractiveness of tourist sites received the lowest mean score (x̅ = 3.35, S.D. = 0.61), respectively.
