Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to Study the problem of solid waste management in Nong Faek community Tat Thong sub-district Mueang district Yasothon province and 2. to Study the participatory solid waste management approach of Nong Faek community Tat Thong Sub-district Mueang district Yasothon province. This research is a qualitative research with an interview form as the research instrument The target group is 20 people in Nong Faek community Tat Thong Sub-district Mueang district Yasothon province who were selected by purposive sampling The information gathered from interview forms and related documents were then content analysis. The research results found that 1) to study the problems of solid waste management in Nong Faek community, consisting of 3 problems: 1.1) the problem of not separating household waste 1.2) the problem of lack of good knowledge about waste management 1.3) the problem of lack of appropriate places for waste storage and 2) Guidelines for waste management with participation of Nong Faek community consist of 2.1) Guidelines for training knowledge on waste management with participation of Nong Faek community will start with creating basic understanding of waste separation in daily life, focusing on explaining the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) 2.2) Support from local government agencies (LAOs) starts with providing necessary resources and equipment for waste management in the community, such as providing bins for waste separation, providing training or organizing campaign activities in the area and 2.3) Establishing a waste bank starts with planning and creating understanding in Nong Faek community about the concept of a waste bank, which is a system that allows community members to exchange recyclable waste such as plastic bottles, paper or metal for credit or other valuable items. The establishment must specify the types of waste that can be deposited.
