This research consists purposes were to Role of Community Participation in the Development of Contemporary Thai Society A Case Study of the Model Community of Ban Dong Bung Dong Mueang Am Sub-district Khao Suan Kwang District Khon Kaen Province. The research employs a qualitative approach utilizing interviews as the primary data collection tool. The target group consists of 30 residents from Ban Dong Bang community selected through purposive sampling. The collected data, including relevant documents and interview transcripts are analyzed using content analysis. The research findings reveal that the role of community participation in the development of contemporary Thai society, based on the case study of the model community Ban Dong Bang Dong Muang Aem Sub-district Khao Suan Kwang District Khon Kaen Province consists of the following five dimensions 1) Economic Dimension The participation of community members in Ban Dong Bang strengthens the local economy through collective activities in production and marketing of community products efficient use of local resources and adaptation to the sufficiency economy philosophy. These efforts help distribute income more equitably and reduce economic disparities within the community 2) Social and Cultural Dimension Community members collaborate to preserve and continue local cultural traditions and exchange indigenous knowledge. This cooperation fosters unity and a sense of belonging among members prevents the loss of cultural roots and promotes mutual understanding within society 3) Natural Resources and Environmental Dimension Natural resource management in the community is carried out through participatory processes including setting rules for resource use and environmental restoration. Campaigns to reduce waste and pollution have helped the community maintain ecological balance and improve the quality of life for residents 4) Education and Shared Learning Dimension The community promotes lifelong learning through community learning centers and activities that transmit both traditional knowledge and modern technologies. This enables residents to develop skills and knowledge to adapt to changes and supports the cultivation of capable leaders and a new generation and 5) Community Governance Dimension Community management emphasizes cooperation and participation from all groups through public forums and representative committees. This participatory approach ensures that planning and implementation effectively address real community needs, fosters transparency, and builds trust between leaders and residents.
