Promoting the Study of The Pariyatdhamma in the Dhamma Section of the Sanghain Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province

Abstract

       This research aimed to 1. Study the level 2. Study the relationship 3. To present the guidelines for promoting the study of Buddhist scriptures in the Dhamma department of the Sangha in Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province. The research methodology was a mixed-methods research between quantitative research using a questionnaire with a reliability value of 0.931. Data were collected from a sample group of 203 monks. Data were analyzed using a social science software package using statistics, percentage, mean, standard deviation, hypothesis testing by using t-test, F-test, and one-way analysis of variance. Qualitative research was conducted by interviewing 9 key informants or people using the descriptive content analysis technique.

        The research results found that 1. The overall level of promotion of the study of Buddhist scriptures in Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province, had a high mean (=3.85, S.D.=0.33). 2. The results of comparing the opinions of monks with different ages, years of monkhood, and general education levels showed no different opinions. As for monks with different levels of Dhamma education, the opinions differed significantly at 0.05. Therefore, the research hypothesis was accepted. 3. The guidelines for promoting the study of Buddhist scriptures in Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province found that in terms of curriculum management, there was a plan and development of the curriculum that was appropriate for the learners. In terms of teaching management, there was integrated teaching and learning. In terms of teaching media, there was the use of appropriate techniques and teaching media. In terms of teaching techniques, there were teaching techniques to enhance participatory learning. In terms of measurement and evaluation, there was an evaluation based on the actual situation and sustainable improvement of educational quality.
