Development of Academic Achievement in Word Processing Course Using Bruner’s Learning Theory for Mathayomsuksa 1 Students at Ratwinitsuvarnnabhum School

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to compare the academic achievement in the word processing course before and after using Bruner's learning theory of Mathayomsuksa 1 students at Ratwinitsuvarnnabhum School, and 2) to study the students’ satisfaction with the word processing course using Bruner’s learning theory. The sample consisted of 37 Mathayomsuksa 1 students at Ratwinitsuvarnnabhum School, selected by cluster random sampling. The research instruments employed in this study included lesson plans, learning materials for the word processing course, an achievement test, and a satisfaction questionnaire for the word processing course. The data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

The research findings indicated that: 1) the students’ learning achievement after using Bruner’s learning theory was significantly higher than before, at the 0.05 level, and 2) the students’ satisfaction with the word processing course using Bruner’s learning theory was at the highest level, with a mean score of 4.47 and a standard deviation of 0.40.
