Abstract

The entrepreneurial landscape in Thailand has seen substantial growth, driven by startups that are fostering innovation and economic development. At the heart of this dynamic environment lies entrepreneurial passion, a powerful catalyst igniting innovation, determination, and commitment among startup employees. This study delves into the intricate world of entrepreneurial passion within Thai startups, utilizing LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) to explore metaphorical representations of entrepreneurial passion and complements this with semi-structured interviews to gather qualitative insights. The research reveals three main dimensions of entrepreneurial passion experienced by Thai startup employees: positive emotions when overcoming difficulties, a sense of achievement, and identity fulfillment. These findings enhance our understanding of how entrepreneurial passion evolves, with a focus on the unique contextual factors present in the Thai startup landscape. It is important to note that limitations such as demographic homogeneity and reliance on self-reported data exist. Nevertheless, this study paves the way for further exploration of passion in the entrepreneurial context and offers valuable insights for maintaining passion in Thai startup employees.
