BUDDHISM : RAISING THE MIND LEVEL TO THAILAND 4.0 AGE

Abstract

In the era of fostering economic growth, Thai people should take part in this process and help each other in order to gain success. The most important things are to think intensively and read carefully. They should not blame each other when there are mistakes since everything is like learning process. If we do not change, we will stay the same. In this case, Thailand 4.0 model, together with the power of people in the nation, can help transform developing countries to developed countries. What will be happen later is human beings should measure an average success in each country in three aspects which are 1) being healthy and having a long life measured by life span, 2) having literacy (two-thirds of weight) and integrated attendance from primary school, secondary school and tertiary level (one-thirds of weight), and 3) having the standard of living measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and purchasing power parity (PPP). In Buddhism, we put the emphasis on how to know sufferings and happiness, prevent and then get rid of sufferings. When we enter into Thailand 4.0 age or age of change, Buddhism principles and Buddha’s teachings should be applied to Thai people. Therefore, this article aims to present Buddhism principles and Buddha’s teachings for Thai people in Thailand 4.0 age.
