Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics
Ethics for Editors
1. Operate the journal in accordance with the standards set by the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI).
2. Conduct an initial review of submitted articles based on the journal’s scope, article format, and correct citation style.
3. Check for duplicate publications, redundant research data (similarities), plagiarism, and self-plagiarism.
4. Oversee and monitor the peer-review process for each article transparently and accountably, avoiding conflicts of interest, and assign reviewers whose expertise matches the subject of the article.
5. Make decisions based on the evaluations of two reviewers:
5.1 Accepted Submission: Whenever both reviewers recommend acceptance, or one recommends acceptance and the other rejects, the article must be reviewed by a third expert, and acceptance requires at least two positive reviews.
5.2 Rejected Submission: Requires rejection by both reviewers.
6. Oversee the quality of articles before publishing via the ThaiJo system and compiling the journal issue.
7. Ensure the journal is published strictly according to its scheduled release dates.
Ethics for Reviewers
1. Accept for reviewing only articles where there is no conflict of interest, and the topic matches their area of expertise. Reviewers should also confirm they can complete the review within the journal's specified timeframe.
2. Evaluate the academic and research quality based on scholarly standards.
3. Provide constructive feedback beneficial to readers and for academic development.
4. Complete the review and submit results within the specified period.
5. Conclude the review with one of the following decisions:
5.1 Accept Submission without revisions.
5.2 Revisions Required (minor revisions, decision by editor).
5.3 Resubmit for Review (major revisions, to be reviewed again).
5.4 Decline Submission.
Ethics for Authors
1. Ensure the article aligns with the journal’s scope and follows the correct formatting and citation style as specified.
2. Authors must avoid duplicate submissions, redundant research data, plagiarism, and self-plagiarism.
3. Articles submitted must not be under consideration by other journals or conferences.
4. Articles must not have been previously published, in whole or in part, in any journal or proceedings (except in abstract-only formats).
5. Submissions must follow the journal’s submission and review process.
6. Authors may only request an acceptance letter once the article has been officially accepted.
