Abstract

Introduction: This research entitled Development of 2D Animation Media for Promoting Tourism at the Ban Ta Klang Elephant Study Center, Krapho Subdistrict, Tha Tum District, Surin Province aimed to 1) develop 2D animation media for promoting tourism at the Ban Ta Klang Elephant Study Center, 2) evaluate the quality of the 2D animation media, and 3) examine viewers’ satisfaction with the 2D animation media.
Methodology: The sample group consisted of 40 first- and second-year students from the Faculty of Management Technology, Tourism and Hotel Management Program, Surin Campus, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan. The participants were selected using purposive sampling. The research instruments included a digital book media for promoting health tourism in Surin Province, a quality assessment form for the digital book media evaluated by experts, and a satisfaction questionnaire measuring students’ opinions toward the digital book media for promoting health tourism in Surin Province. The statistical methods used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
Results: The results revealed that the quality of the 2D animation media for promoting tourism at the Ban Ta Klang Elephant Study Center, Krapho Subdistrict, Tha Tum District, Surin Province, was at the highest level, with a mean score of 4.77. In addition, viewers’ satisfaction was at a high level, with a mean score of 4.49. The findings indicate that the developed 2D animation media can be effectively disseminated for community tourism promotion. The media enables viewers to better understand the community-based tourism patterns and gain a clearer understanding of tourism activities at the Ban Ta Klang Elephant Study Center.
