Increasing Warehouse Management Efficiency by Applying ABC Analysis Veekrit Home and Living Co., Ltd
Abstract
The purpose of this study is (1) to investigate the problems and causes related to the warehouse management system and (2) to explore ways to improve the efficiency of warehouse management at Veekrit Home and Living Co., Ltd. It is qualitative research. Collect data from people who have experience in service and work in warehouses, including executives, managers, and warehouse employees who are actually working, a total of 9 people. The tools used to collect data are semi-structured interviews and participatory observations. Product segmentation data is data on products sold in the last quarter of 2024. The results of the study showed that the cause of the problem is due to not knowing the exact location of the products, the storage is not organized, there are insufficient labor-saving machinery, and the storage space is limited. Guidelines for enhancing warehouse management efficiency by categorizing inventory using the ABC Analysis system are as follows: there were 25 items of Group A products with a value of 28,525,400 Baht, 34 items of Group B products with a value of 8,083,790 Baht, and 41 items of Group C products with a value of 4,082,350 Baht. According to the Performance Indicator (ILPI) Activity 6 Warehouse Management, it was found that (1) the time dimension (ILPI6T) The average storage period before renovation was 20 days and after renovation was 13 days. (2) Reliability dimension (ILPI6R): The accuracy rate of goods before improvement is 82.34% and the accuracy rate of inventory after improvement is 98.20%, which indicates an increase in the efficiency of the warehouse management system and efficient storage.
