Knowledge and Understanding of Social Security Fund Benefits among Insured Individuals at the Social Security Office, Bangkok District 11

Abstract

            This research aims to (1) study the level of knowledge and understanding of social security benefits among insured individuals at the Social Security Office Region 11, categorized by general information; (2) compare the level of knowledge and understanding of social security benefits among insured individuals at the Social Security Office Region 11, categorized by their experience in using benefits. The sample group includes individuals covered under Article 33 and Article 39, selected through targeted sampling among those who have utilized services from the Social Security Office Region 11, with a sample size of 400. The research tool utilized is a questionnaire with a confidence level of 0.97. The research findings indicate that (1) gender differences do not influence the level of knowledge and understanding of different replacement benefits. Variables such as age, education level, marital status, duration of being insured, and frequency of contact have an impact on the level of knowledge and understanding of replacement benefits; (2) individuals with different experiences in using benefits demonstrate variations in the level of knowledge and understanding of replacement benefits, with statistically significant differences at a significance level of 0.05. The benefits obtained from the research contribute to the development of the organization and improvement of service quality.
