Abstract

This research consists purposes were to examine the guidelines for improving the quality of life of the elderly in Nong Saeng Village Khao Phra Non Sub-district Yang Talat District Kalasin Province. This research employed a qualitative approach. The research instrument was an interview, and the target group consisted of 25 elderly individuals in Nong Saeng Village, Khao Phra Non Sub-district Yang Talat District Kalasin Province selected through purposive sampling. Data collected from relevant documents and interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that the guidelines for improving the quality of life of the elderly in Nong Saeng Village, Khao Phra Non Sub-district Yang Talat District Kalasin Province consisted of five aspects: 1) physical and mental health 2) economic conditions and income security 3) social aspects and community participation 4) environment and housing conditions conducive to living and 5) lifelong learning and capacity development. Based on the study, in order to enable the elderly to live fully, safely and happily in the long term, emphasis should be placed on promoting both physical and mental health, as well as enhancing social participation, economic security and supportive living environments.
