Abstract

This research consists purposes were to study the general information of Nong No Sub-district Mueang District Maha Sarakham Province. this research employed a qualitative approach. The research instrument was an interview and the target group consisted of 10 residents of Nong No Sub-district Mueang District Maha Sarakham Province selected through purposive sampling. The data collected from the interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that 1) Geographical aspect: The area is a lowland plain suitable for settlement and agricultural activities, particularly rice cultivation and seasonal crops. Due to favorable soil and climatic conditions, the community primarily relies on local natural resources, with a close interrelationship between the environment and the way of life of the people 2) Community strengthening: The community of Nong No Subdistrict has become increasingly strong through the cooperation of its members, along with the continuous roles of community leaders and local leaders in driving various activities. Such collaboration promotes unity, mutual support, and a sense of belonging and shared ownership within the community, which serves as a fundamental basis for sustainable development 3) Natural resources and environmental management: The conservation and management of natural resources, particularly water sources, soil and public areas, are among the top priorities of the community. Residents are aware of environmental issues and actively promote environmentally friendly activities, such as the efficient use of resources, community clean-up campaigns and waste separation within the community 4) Social development and quality of life: Ensuring that all residents have equal access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and social welfare is a key objective in social development and improving the quality of life in Nong No Subdistrict. The community has implemented various activities and projects to support vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and the underprivileged and 5) Community participation process: In Nong No Subdistrict, community participation is a crucial mechanism for sustainable development. Through community forums and various activities, residents are involved in planning, decision-making, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of community development projects. This participation fosters mutual understanding, openness and shared responsibility among community members.
