Study of the Basic Information Nong Mek Sub-District Na Chueak District Maha Sarakham Province

Abstract

This research consists purposes were to study of basic information Nong Mek Sub-district Na Chueak District Maha Sarakham Province. is a qualitative research study with research tools including interviews The target group for the study consists of 28 people selected through purposive sampling. The data collected from relevant documents and interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The research findings reveal that Nong Mek Sub-district Na Chueak District Maha Sarakham Province is a rural area with economic and social diversity. The population of the sub-district is approximately 6,608 people, distributed across 20 villages. The main occupations of the population are agriculture, including rice farming, gardening, and animal husbandry. The research also found the following 1) Area and boundaries: The total area under its jurisdiction is 32,639 rai (about 62.17 square kilometers) 2) Administrative division: The sub-district is divided into 20 villages 3) Population: The total population is 6,608 people 4) Economic conditions: Businesses in Nong Mek Sub-district include hotels (resorts), large gas stations, industrial factories, and rice mills 5) Seasons: The sub-district has a rainy season, a cool season and a hot season 6) Transportation: There are five main roads in Nong Mek Sub-district 7) Education: There are 10 educational institutions 8) Religious institutions: There are 9 religious institutions and 9) Local culture (Heet 12 Kong 14): Heet 12 refers to the traditions observed by people in the northeastern region during various occasions throughout the twelve months of the year. Kong 14 refers to the 14 principles or guidelines that the general public as well as local administrators should follow as good customs and traditions for the community and society.
