A GUIDELINE FOR INFORMATION SYSTEM MANAGEMENT OFUMONG WITTAYAKOM SCHOOL, LAMPHUN PROVINCE

Abstract

This research article aimed to: 1) study the state of information system management at UmongWitthayakhom School, Lamphun Province. 2) propose guidelines for managing the information system at UmongWitthayakhom School, Lamphun province. This  study employed qualitative research, with key informants comprising 8 individuals, including 1 school director, 1 deputy director, 4 teachers and educational personnel, and 2 teachers responsible for the school's information system. The research instruments included an interview framework and focus group discussions. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis, and the findings were presented through descriptive summaries.

The research found that:

1. The weaknesses and limitations of the information system at Umong Witthayakhom School consisted of four key issues, specifically: 1) Information system planning should be continuous, 2)Implementation should involve the systematic collection of information across the entire system, 3) Monitoring should ensure participation from all relevant parties, and 4) Improvements should be made using the PLC (Professional Learning Community) process. These issues require urgent resolution.
2. The guidelines for managing the information system at UmongWitthayakhom School, Lamphun Province, were found to consist of 4 aspects as follows: 1) Planning: Objectives and goals should be clearly defined to address continuity issues. A responsible team should be established, with the ability to transfer tasks effectively in case of personnel changes. 2) Implementation: Data should be systematically stored in both document and software formats. Practical workshops should be organized, and all parties involved should be supervised to ensure proper execution. 3) Monitoring: Participation should be encouraged, with clear and systematic orders issued to build confidence among students and stakeholders.
   4) Improvement: The process should be systematic and utilize the Professional Learning Community (PLC) approach to identify problems and collaboratively find solutions.
