https://so13.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jls/article/view/3278

This qualitative research studies the process of building the representation of northern lords (Chao Mueang Nuea) in exhibition areas of northern region national museums as well as the negotiation and diminishing aspect of related history in gallery content. Data are collected through documentary study and field surveys, with non-participant observation, at three institutions: Chiang Mai, Hariphunchai, and Nan National Museums. Data are analyzed using Antonio Gramsci’s conceptual framework of cultural hegemony and Stuart Hall's theory of representation.

Results:

Northern region national museums function as state cultural mechanisms by reproducing national ideology in building northern lord representations with traits of loyal allies and culturally venerable persons. Underscoring a good rapport with the Siamese court and support of Buddhism legitimizes centralized power and the evolving modern nation state.

This display muted the historical feature of local politics, especially power negotiation dynamics, Thesaphiban administrative reform conflicts, and response to loss of original status. Thus, northern lords declined in status from political players to cultural symbols beholden to the central power structure.

Nathakit SargargamjitKanjana Laochockchaikul

https://so13.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jls/article/view/3682

This study aimed to 1) examine the level of management capability and marketing communication of ornamental plant farmers in Huai Kaeo Subdistrict, Mae On District, Chiang Mai Province, 2) analyze the relationships among management capability, marketing communication, and the economic strength of farmers and 3) investigate the influence of management capability and marketing communication on farmers’ economic strength. The research employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 124 respondents. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis.

The findings revealed that:

Overall management capability was at a high level. Adaptability and problem-solving ability had the highest mean score, whereas cost and financial management were at a moderate level. Overall marketing communication was also at a high level, with social media usage receiving the highest mean score, followed by in-store/offline communication and community-based public relations. These results indicate that farmers demonstrate relatively strong management and marketing readiness; however, improvements in cost management and sales promotion strategies are still needed.

Management capability was positively correlated with economic strength at the .01 level of statistical significance (r = .64). Marketing communication was also positively correlated with economic strength at the .01 level (r = .72). In addition, management capability showed a positive relationship with marketing communication (r = .58), significant at the .01 level. These findings suggest that enhancing internal capabilities alongside effective marketing strategies plays a crucial role in strengthening farmers’ economic stability and competitiveness.

The regression model explained 58.10 percent of the variance in economic strength (R² = .581), with statistical significance at the .001 level. Marketing communication exerted the strongest influence (β = .520), followed by management capability (β = .290). Both variables had significant positive effects on economic strength. It can be concluded that integrating the development of management capability with the enhancement of marketing communication serves as a key mechanism for sustainably strengthening farmers’ economic resilience.

Vipada YanasanYotsarun Srisuk

https://so13.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jls/article/view/3289

The objectives of this research are 1) develop and validate the quality of a curriculum designed to enhance analytical thinking through Brain-Based Learning (BBL) integrated with educational games for early childhood children, and 2) evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented curriculum. This study employed a Pre-Experimental Design. The sample consisted of 12 early childhood children, aged 4–6 years, enrolled in Kindergarten levels 2 and 3 during the first semester of Academic year 2025 at Bankhorwittaya School, selected through cluster random sampling. The research instruments included: 1) the curriculum, 2) supplementary curriculum documents,
and 3) a 12-item analytical thinking behavior observation form assessing four domains: classification, discrimination, comparison, and relationship identification. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent samples.

The research Findings

The evaluation of the curriculum development and quality validation, which encompassed seven components-namely, background and significance, principles, objectives, content structure, learning activities, media and learning resources, and measurement and evaluation-revealed that the overall curriculum was rated at the highest level. Similarly, the evaluation of the curriculum supplementary documents showed a mean score at the highest level of appropriateness.

The investigation into the implementation of the curriculum indicated that early childhood children who participated in the learning process demonstrated significant improvements in analytical thinking. The pre-test mean score was 14.08 with a standard deviation of 2.75, while the post-test mean score rose to 29.42 with a standard deviation of 2.39. A comparison between the pre-test and post-test scores revealed that the students' post-test scores were significantly higher than their pre-test scores at a statistically significant level of .05.

Phimaporn WongkhueankaewKedthip SirichaisinPanisara Chanpala

2026-06-042026-06-04424964Creating Program to Encourage Everyday English Communication Skills for Students, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Phrae Campus
https://so13.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jls/article/view/3677

This study had two objectives: first, to investigate the curriculum for promoting daily English communication skills for pre-service teachers, and second, to develop such a curriculum. The research was conducted using qualitative research. Data collection was carried out using In-dept interview to 25 education students and through interviews with 5 lecturers relevant to the curriculum's development, in total 30 person. For focus group discussion using 8 person who relevant to the curriculum's development.

Research Findings

Regarding the investigation of the curriculum for promoting daily English communication skills for pre-service teachers, the findings indicated that the English curriculum necessitates reform in three primary domains. Firstly, in content, there must be a pedagogical shift from in-depth grammatical theory to a focus on practical, real-world communication through Situational and Functional Content, utilizing Authentic Materials such as video clips and podcasts. Secondly, learning activities must transition from traditional lecture-based formats to a Learner-Centered Approach, promoting Meaningful Interaction through activities like Role-playing and Task-Based Learning. Lastly, assessment and evaluation methods must move beyond grammar-focused written examinations towards diverse and continuous forms of Authentic Assessment, such as Performance-Based Assessment and Portfolio evaluations, to accurately reflect learners' genuine communicative competence and foster their development constructively.

Regarding the outcomes of the curriculum development process, it was found that an appropriate curriculum should be founded on Communicative, Task-Based, and Learner-Centered principles. Consequently, a 30-hour curriculum was designed, comprising 15 systematically interconnected learning units aimed at progressively building learner confidence and skills. The curriculum is structured into three distinct phases: Building Blocks (foundational knowledge), Exploring the World (real-world application), and Professional Steps (application in professional contexts).

Panya SunantaSaipin RungwattanakitSathorn GanmaneeChakriya Khankham
