CONCEPT OF TATTOO VALUE : THE BELIEF ADJUSTMENT TO LIBERAL SOCIATY

Abstract
This academic article studied the subject of the tattoo, the meaning of the tattoo, beliefs of tattooing in each area and apply the concept to analysis for reflecting that hidden things of tattooing, by through the concept of phenomenology. Concept of Phonology and the concept of discourse for reflecting the social phenomenon of tattooing from the past to the present. The process of changing through thought giving meaning that changes with the ages and times. The data collecting information related documents such as information books on the internet. From research and analysis found that, 1) Tattooing was the culture in each area. It was the focus of the tattoo, belief or consent in the area. 2) Tattooing was a form of power on the body as a symbol. It showed the power to lead the family, readiness of having a family through tattoos on the body. 3) Tattooing was a matter of showing your identity in society. It was the expression of identity through tattoos, such as the past, it must had a tattoo in order to know what belonging to to be protected. 4) Tattooing was a matter of holding the mind. Because when the time battle the tattoo on the body was an anchor that would have prevented the enemy from doing any harm. And 5) Tattooing was a matter of creating values in each area. Imparting or what was hidden in the meaning of tattooing causing groups of people in that area to continue to do like that.
