THE STUDY ON THE BUDDHA OBLATION OF LANNA

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to 1) to study the history of worship for offering to Buddha of Lanna, 2) to study of knowledge and the main Buddhist ethics of worship for offering to Buddha of Lanna and 3) to analyze of Buddhist ethics of worship for offering to Buddha of Lanna. This study was a qualitative research from data resources, books, texts, document that concerned about the history of worship for offering to Buddha of Lanna.
The research found that
1. The history of worship that was used in worshiping for offering to Buddha of Lanna was found that the worship of Lanna come with Buddhism that had come from India. People of Lanna had believed and faith in Buddhism by respecting the Buddhism, holy things, ancestor, lecturer, or elder people, therefore, they had created and made different worship such as flowers, candles, incense, Maksoom, Plusoom, Makbeng, Tonphuang, Poomdok, Suaydok, Tontien. Some areas there are seven candlestick, tung, lotus or calendula.
2. Knowledge and the main Buddhist ethics of worship for offering to Buddha of Lanna were found that in Lanna province had live with the faith in Buddhism along with the precepts, meditation and wisdom. The Buddhist Ethics divided into three levels namely; basic level, intermediate level, advanced level.
1) The Buddhist ethics on the basic level had two steps namely; the approximately level that was characterize to abstain from physically and speech, it called five precepts. On the other level, it was intimate level that was mind characterize five aspects. It called the five ennobling virtues.
2) The intermediate Buddhist ethics was the practice that higher level such as Kusala-kammapatha 10. It means the wholesome course of action. This step is raised as a good human performance according to the structure of human behavior.
3) The advanced Buddhist ethics was the ultimate aim of Buddhism that the practice requires intellectual prestige, and a commitment strongly for achievement. It called Ariyamagga or Machimapatipatha. Buddhist ethics of worship for offering to Buddha of Lanna had a meaning and significance deeply booth practice method and intervene in lifestyle of Buddhist people for a long time from ancient times to present time.
3. The principles of Buddhist Ethics of worship for offering to Buddha were found that it was a main for lifestyle of Lanna people. They believed that the worship was important things and highly thing of Buddhism for worship making of Buddhism. Therefore, from the important concept of the meaning and the principle of Buddhist Ethics of worship each place that had cause and was factor for be carefully creating and intervene the principles of Buddhist Ethics in worship. It had taken effect on contribution in field art about worship of Lanna people that was well known.
