THE EFFECT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION TCEHNIQUE (STAD) WITH POLYA’S PROBLEM SOLVING PROCESS ON LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT TEAMWORK SKILL AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS OF VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE ACCOUNTING PROGRAM STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of this research were; 1) to compare Basic Accounting student achievement before and after class by using STAD technique of cooperative learning with the problem solving of Polya. 2) for improve teamwork skill of student class by using STAD technique of cooperative learning with the problem solving of Polya. 3) to study attitude towards accounting learning of first year students of Certificate Level taught by using STAD technique of cooperative learning with the problem solving of Polya. The samples consisted of 36 students in first year students of Certificate Level in accounting program. They were drawn by using cluster random sampling technique from first year accounting students of Chonburi College of Technology Muang District, Chonburi Province in 1st semester of 2022 academic year. The research instrument were the lesson plans of Basic Accounting on the recording of entries in a general journal and ledged unit by using STAD technique in collaboration with cooperative the problem solving of Polya, Achievement test, teamwork skill assessment form from learning management activities by using STAD technique of cooperative learning with the problem solving of Polya. The data was analyzed by Mean, Percentage, Standard Deviation, and t-test Dependent.

The research results were as follow:

1. Post-test of student learning achievement of Basic Accounting on the recording of entries in a general journal and ledged unit by using STAD technique of cooperative learning with the problem solving of Polya was significantly higher than the pre-test at the 0.5 level.  

2. Teamwork skill of student, that by using STAD technique of cooperative learning with the problem solving of Polya in class is excellent.

3. Attitude towards accounting learning of first year students of Certificate Level taught by using STAD technique of cooperative learning with the problem solving of Polya is excellent.
