THE PROJECT EVALUATION OF NATIONAL YOUTH AND JUVENILE ART COMPETITION BY BUNDITPATANASILPA INSTITUTE, MINISTRY OF CULTURE

Abstract

The purposes of this article were to evaluate success in outputs, outcomes and impacts of national youth and juvenile art competition project by Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Ministry of Culture. The data were collected by both quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 125 persons selected by volunteer sampling and record form from information system of this project. Qualitative data were collected through an interview of 5 persons selected by purposive sampling. All data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage and content analysis.

The results of this research revealed that

1. The evaluation of project outputs found that the creation of artworks through contest activities was passed in all 3 indicators, the continuous and systematic of art exhibition as a national learning center was failed in an indicator. The Bunditpatanasilpa Institute conducted only a temporary exhibition. It did not conduct any permanent or traveling exhibition.

2. The evaluation of project outcomes found that the appreciation of art creation was passed at a successful level (= 3.97, SD =0.86), and the creating inspiration in arts activities was passed at a very successful level (= 4.24, SD = 0.83).

3. The evaluation of project impacts found that the perception of the project promoting the corporate image of Bunditpatanasilpa Institute was passed at a very successful level (= 4.39, SD = 0.66).
