THE APPLICATION OF SANGAHAVATTHU IN DAILY LIVES OF STUDENTS, FACULTY OF EDUCATION, MAHACHULALONGKORNRAJAVIDYALAYA UNIVERSITY, PHRAE CAMPUS

Abstract
This survey study aims to 1) investigate the application of Sangahavatthu in daily lives of students and 2) compare the application of Sangahavatthu in daily lives between male and female students, Faculty of Education, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Phrae Campus. The 51 participants were students of Faculty of Education, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Phrae Campus, selected by cluster random sampling. The data were collected using questionnaires and then analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
The research findings were as follows:
1. The overall application of the Sangahavatthu IV principles in daily lives of students was at a high level (= 4.35). When considering each aspect from highest to lowest, Dāna (Generosity/Winning Hearts) obtained the highest level (=4.39), followed by Atthacariyā (=4.38), Samānattatā (=4.36), and Piyavācā (=4.27), respectively.
2. The comparative results indicated no significant difference between male and female students in their overall opinions.
