BUDDHIST INTEGRATION FOR PRISONER’S CONTROLLING MANAGEMENT OF NAN PROVINCE PRISON

Abstract

The objectives of this research paper were 1. to study the level of prisoner control administration in Nan Provincial Prison. 2. to study the relationship between the Iddhipada IV and the prisoner control administration in Nan Provincial Prison. 3. to present the buddhist integration for prisoner’s controlling management of Nan Province prison.

This study integrated data from 80 samples of research conducted using a quantitative methodology. Frequency averaging, percentage averages and standard deviation were used to examine the relationship between management and the applying the buddhist integration for prisoner control administration in Nan Provincial Prison, employing the Pearson correlation coefficient method. In addition, 10 in-depth interviews were conducted in qualitative research with the accompanying content analysis technique to propose a context consisting of the significant informant frequency distribution tables to support quantitative data.

The findings were that :

1. the level of opinion on prisoner’s controlling management of Nan Province prison. Overall, it is at a high level (= 4.02, S.D. = 0.44). when considering each aspect, It central control and coordination cents, prisoner control and safety manual inside and outside prisons, on the system side, the communication between the central control and coordination center and the area where the detainees are located, prison control and security procedures, control tools and techniques are modern, adequate, and efficient and training and review of employee control technical knowledge. It was found that it was at a high level in all aspects.

2. The relation between the Iddhipada IV and the prisoner control administration in Nan Provincial Prison, It was found that a relatively medium level of positive correlation. (R = 0.545**) statistically significant at the 0.01 level. When considering each aspect, The relation between the Iddhipada IV and the central control and coordination center There was a relatively low level of positive correlation. Other parts moderately positive.

3. Buddhist integration for prisoner’s controlling management of Nan Province Prison indicated that The Department of Corrections Executive and the prison officials should be integrated Iddhipada IV in career are as prudence, work intensive and work monitoring. Therefore, the government should be making of policy for prison officials. As we know, nowadays the number of prisoners are increasing thus the government should be aware of modify the law by increasing the risk of imprisonment. Moreover, public and private sectors should be involved in providing employment opportunities for former prisoners.
