Buddhist Ethics To Promote Political Ethics of Local Politicians in Ban Than Sub-District Municipality, Dok Kham Tai District, Phayao Province

Abstract

This research article aimed to: 1) to study the level of political ethics of local politicians in Ban Tham Sub-district Municipality, Dokkham Tai District, Phayao Province, 2) to compare the political ethics of local politicians in Ban Tham Sub-district Municipality, Dokkham Tai District, Phayao Province by classification according to personal factors, 3) to present Buddhist ethics to promote political ethics of local politicians in Ban Tham Sub-district Municipality, Dokkham Tai District, Phayao Province according to secular principles. The statistics used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient and qualitative research with in-depth interviews with key data providers. 9 photos/person using interviews and descriptive content analysis   

The research found that:

1. The level of political ethics of local politicians in Ban Tham Sub-district Municipality, Dok Kham Tai District, Phayao Province.
2. A comparison of political ethics of local politicians in Ban Tham Sub-district Municipality, Dok Kham Tai District, Phayao Province found that the sample population with different genders Therefore, they accepted the hypothesis and found that the sample group with different ages, education levels, occupations, and incomes was not different overall. Therefore, it rejected the hypothesis set.
3. The presentation of Buddhist ethics to promote political ethics of local politicians in Ban Tham Sub-district Municipality found that the application of the 4th Secular Dharma Principle to promote political ethics for local politicians will help build the confidence and faith of the people and lead to sustainable local development.
