THE DEVELOPMENT OF READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS OF MATHAYOM 1 STUDENTS BY USING THE 5W1H QUESTIONING TECHNIQUE, THAIRATH WITTAYA 33 SCHOOL (BAN THUNG PRAO)

The objectives of this research were: 1) to compare reading comprehension skills after using the 5W1H questioning technique of Mathayom 1 students with the criteria of 70% 2) to study the commitment in working after studying using the 5W1H questioning technique. The sample group was students from Mathayom 1/1, in semester 1 of academic year 2022, Thairath Wittaya School 33 (Ban Thung Phrao). A total of 28 students were obtained by cluster random sampling. The research tools consisted of 1) a learning management plan the 5W1H questioning technique, 2) a reading comprehension practice form, 3) a reading comprehension test, and 4) work commitment test. The data were analyzed using a percentage, mean (X) and standard deviation (S.D).
The results of this research found that:
- Yearly note-taking class 1 students observed the reading of the text after learning by using the questioning tool 5W1H, taking note of their needs 70, returning the average score to 74.46.
- Mathayom 1 students' commitment to work after learning activities using questioning technique 5W1H overall was at the highest level. When considering each item, it was found that the students admired their work with pride, had the highest average, followed by students who devoted themselves to work try to solve problems and obstacles in completing tasks and students pay attention to perform their assigned duties in order.
