Sangahavatthu Dhamma Application for Public Service Develop Quality of Momueang Subdistrict Administrative Organization at Maecharim District In Nan Province

Abstract

This research article aimed to: 1) study the quality of public services of Mo Mueang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Maecharim District, Nan Province; 2) study the relationship between the principles of Saṅgahavatthu Dhamma and the quality of public services of Mo Mueang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Maecharim District, Nan Province; 3) present the application of the principles of Saṅgahavatthu Dhamma to develop the quality of public services of Mo Mueang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Maecharim District, Nan Province. The study employed a mixed-methods research design, consisting of quantitative research with a sample of 367 people using a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The qualitative research was conducted by in-depth interviewing 10 key informants using an interview form and descriptive content analysis.     

The research found that:

1. 1. The level of quality of public service of the Mormuang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Maecharim District, Nan Province, is at a high level overall .
2. The relationship between the principles of Saṅgahavatthu Dhamma and the quality of public service of the Mormuang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Maecharim District, Nan Province, overall with a statistically significant positive relationship at the 0.01 level.
3. Application of the principles of Saṅgahavatthu Dhamma to develop the quality of public services of the Mormuang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Maecharim District, Nan Province, found that the following should be implemented: 1. Principle of Dāna, charity: Instilling public-mindedness in providing services 2. Principle of Piyavācā, kind word: Using appropriate words, speaking politely, speaking sincerely, and having good human relations with the public 3. Principle of Atthacariyā: Facilitating and doing things that are beneficial to the public who come to receive services equally 4. Principle of Samānattatā: Behaving appropriately, consistently, and advising the public who come to receive services equally without discrimination.
